Have some more IU and Eunhyuk

Article: IU's image as the Nation's Little Sister was like a double-bladed sword [Editorial]

Mydaily via Nate

1. [+1,769, -133] What I felt by watching IU is that... It really only takes one thing to ruin your life

2. [+1,759, -224] I don't care what IU does in her private life, but she's the one that took on the little girl lolita concept and always said how she doesn't know anything. The problem is that such a picture was uploaded to her Twitter... on top of that, there are even rumors of the picture being taken in 2010. As a minor, this can only greatly impact her career.

3. [+1,653, -133] She was really unlucky with how this all played out. For example:

1. IU: Eunhyuk oppa and I are dating~ We'll love beautifully~~~
Uncle Fans: Ha ㅜㅜ How can you date that anchovy... but fine, have a beautiful relationship Jieun

2. IU: =here's a picture=
Agency: They're not dating~ Just visiting the sick.
Uncle Fans: Fu*k off

1. [+726, -86] The picture was dated November 4th, 2010 when IU was a minor ㅋㅋㅋ hul ㅋㅋㅋ

2. [+655, -31] On Heroes, IU once mentioned that she dated an adult male celebrity. She was a minor then.

3. [+595, -40] Bye U~

Article: 'Nation's Little Sister' image dilemma, consequences of IU and Eunhyuk's selca scandal remain strong

Source:

1. [+1,253, -201] Eunhyuk's eyes tell all the truth we need. Guys that have had sex probably know what I'm talking about. How much money did IU make capitalizing on her little girl image? Now that we know that image was fake, doesn't that mean she sold us a defected product? She deserves to be criticized and hated for deceiving the public to make some money. Think about being sold a water bottle from someone claiming that it's from a pure fountain and then finding out that it was just collected from the Han River. Wouldn't you be pissed and ripped off?

2. [+1,161, -142] The picture was taken in 2010 when she was in her second year of high school. Departing from whether or not they had sex, is it normal at that age for her to take a picture with a topless man while in her pajamas? As a minor? Shield what deserves to be shielded. Don't try to play the sympathy card. She's the one that dug her own grave.

3. [+982, -84] IU's currently on God of Victory but I can't view her the same as I did before... Sorry IU, but I don't think you're the Nation's Little Sister anymore

-

Article:
IU, parody "If you just told us you were dating, we would've shielded you"

Source:
News Pim via Nate

1. [+602, -26] I wouldn't care if they were really dating, but they specifically said that they weren't dating and that they were just a senior/junior relationship. What kind of a senior goes to visit his sickly junior when she's home alone in pajamas? Topless, at that??? When they're not even dating???????

2. [+496, -29] Loen really sucks at dealing with stuff like this. Why don't they know that making up ridiculous excuses like this will only cause more trouble? They basically ran into a fire while holding explosives to their chests. If they just said that they were dating, opinion wouldn't be as divided as it is now. Because they made up a BS story, they're just fostering more hate.

3. [+475, -28] We're not stupid

-

Source: Money Today via Nate

1. [+425, -46] She was basically at the top of her career, and now she's fallen down to the level of Super Junior. Of course she won't be happy about that.

2. [+384, -22] It really doesn't take much for a celebrity's life to be ruined...

3. [+314, -38] Goodbye IU!!!!!!!!!!

Article: 'Smileless' IU, after the scandal... "No more explanations"

Source: Herald News via Nate

1. [+222, -14] Because there's nothing more to explain

2. [+202, -13] Ferguson once said that Twitter is the most useless waste of your life

3. [+166, -16] She probably feels like hell and yet reality is even more hellish because she has to fulfill her contract duties~

  7. I wonder why LOEN let her continue her activities...I know they're trying to play it off like it's nothing but obviously her work is going to be affected. She won't be able to MC properly or go on variety shows without being a sort of Debbie Downer so why not just let her apologize and go on a period of reflection? K-netizens love that mess.

I read that too in other forums. She and Eunhyuk were fuck*ng even when she was a minor.

Way to go, Eunhyuk, yor are almost 30.

  10. "bye IU" man hearing that really hurts. Mostly because she worked really hard touring around korea for all her concerts and trying to please fans all this time. So much hard work down the drain for one picture?
anyway, eunhyuk and IU have both increased in twitter followers, and I know that IU's fancafe has also increased in the thousands since this came out. This reminds me of reading comments on Gain's bloom and how everyone was bashing gain, but gain's song topped charts, plus she won, and her song was the first for october, so.. the comments on these articles, I don't take too seriously. even more ppl will be watching her on her comeback, and as long as she continues to release good music, (which korea has always loved), i don't see "bye IU" for a while.. plus how do they know that pic was taken in 2010?

  13. Based on the logic here, every girl group should be hated on for deceiving the public. You got the cute girls, or the badass girls but all of them are essentially selling a lie. It's called an image for a reason. SNSD are dorky girls in real life, but they're all cute and shit on stage. 2NE1 are not tough at all in real life, but they pretend to be badass on stage.

Even with boy groups. There's a lack of true personality within the entertainment world because everyone has an image or stage persona.

  14. no wonder people said IU was 16 when they started dating D:

    ReplyDelete
  15. i read the explanation on how they knew the date of the pic...
it's actually being read wrongly... the number out was 10 11월 4오후 something like that, thus people was assuming it was taken back in 2010 November but it's actually the date it was uploaded which is November 10th, 2012. Netizens got it wrong with this but indeed there's some rumor that their relationship have started since she was a minor.

    1. In Korea and Asian culture, having sex when you are a minor is considered as something bad. Now are you going to condem the entire Asian continent??
Plus IU has always been selling the pure image. And in the K netizens' defense, IU's pure image was really marketed VERY STRONGLY, more strongly than the other girl groups who change concepts.

    2. And adults having sex with minors is considered good?

      Delete
  23. I understand why everyone is in anger/disappointed mode towards her... it's how she and her company promoted her... the image that she sell... it's understandable why people hate. like the analogy they give, it feels like they're being cheated all this while... it's unfair to the fans... for me, i know her since she making her guitar cover back in 2009. that little girl that play guitar awesomely, her good voice and sings to Big Bang's Lie, Gee, Sorry Sorry... and even being on Star Golden Bell as the rookie singer... listening to her debut song, Mia. I fall with that girl. not the "Oppa joheungeol" girl or marshmallow, or boo kind of girl... that's kind of image is being implement onto her for her to sell... i just hope that later, she will return with more mature and concept that's HER. she's a talented singer-songwriter. hope she'll find her strength. Fighting IU!

  30. I hate it when people criticize her for using the cute-innocent concept until now...
just how many concepts are there in kpop o.O?
    -bad-ass/strong girl image=> wouldn't fit,
    -"more mature"(just more make-up ^^) image=> she's tried that with "good day"
-sexy concept=> just think about all the hate Hyuna and others are receiving...
    -AND the cute/innocent image...
the uncle fans who feel so wronged should really be the one to be ashamed of fantasizing about her virginity in the first place...just saying :p

    ReplyDelete
  31. Your logic is faulty. What you're saying about 'cute girls' and 'badass girls' is really just a CONCEPT. The public image that the artists holds is completely different, and that's what's being debated about IU. Her CONCEPT has always been similar (cute, innocent, etc.), but her PUBLIC IMAGE has always been pretty similar (nice, innocent, kind, all the good things). Tthe biggest evidence - all the TV appearances she's made since her career catapulted with Good Day.

No decent netizen is going to attack a K-idol just b/c their concept doesn't particularly match their public image, but netizens WILL react when someone's public image of good and innocence is completely trashed by a picture of her with a TOPLESS man 6 years her senior.

  33. delusional much?? O__o... people's reasoning is somewhat laughable... so because she had the classic innocent-as-a-little-girl concept then she must behave like a little girl til the public gets tired of her? and what does innocent means in their dictionary? and even if thats the case, they have not listen to IU's work... a little girl wont sing songs or have mvs with deep/haunting meaning like "Mia", "cruel fairy tale", or "the story only i didnt know" if she must be hated for "not being like her concept" then every single artist/idol in the industry should be sued for commiting fraud since most of them sing about things they dont feel, display a sexy concept when theyre not sexy or a cute concept when they dislike acting cute...

ps: and the comments of her hardened face... if shes all normal like nothing happened then theyll say she has no shame, blah blah.. you cant never please pressed people...

  37. The way I feel is really disappointed. As an American, I grew sick and tired of how trashy and over sexualized our.music industry is, so I became a huge fan of the more.conservative kpop. Even though its a lot cleaner then most American music, it still has a lot of sex in it. But iu always sang more innocent songs and wore.those.conservative little dresses and to me it was was refreshing and I really grew to admire and look up to her. She also acted as innocent as her songs, so seeing this pic did upset me cuz I feel like I lost a role model, not because she's dating but because it appears that she had sex. However I'm still a fan of.her voice and will continue.to support her but I hope.she drops the whole innocent concept.

  43. I became her fan because of her music and talent. I loved her covers of lies, gee, video killed the radio star, and others. I also loved her songs mia, alone in a room, stray puppy, ugly duckling, etc. To be honest, I never really got into too many of her cutesy songs. I have to say that IU is one of the most honest Kpop starts around. She is adorkable and she does not try to hide her flaws. She acknowledges them and tries to improve in areas when she is criticized. She is gracious to others and never puts others down like the way K entertainment industry seem to enjoy. In another words, she is one of the nicest Kpop stars.

Even so, I'm not that surprised to see her getting attacked like this
over something so little since up to this point, she has been relatively
flawless. Why? Because she always seemed to have antis following her including some reporters who fall under the anti category. Whether it's envy, jealousy, or hate that's inspired it, she's always had plenty of antis. Take for example an university event where she was performing and there was some who was flashing the laser at IU's face. IU laughed about this during a tv interview but imagine how much she was hurting inside.

So, it is not surprising that they are jumping on the first thing that looks like it can be made scandalous and hyping it. What I am sad by is how quickly people are jumping to believe the worst of her. As fan, I can't but feel really sad for her. The scandal was not about fact but more about speculations. But now, it's not just speculations but misinformation that people are putting out.

  47. SERIOUSLY. This makes me SO FURIOUS. It's supposed that Eunhyuk was dating IU as a minor, they probably had sex when she was a minor. This is a criminal offense. Even worse this is not the first time a Super Junior member has been alleged to date/fuck/approach minors. Leeteuk has tons and tons of rumours flying around that he specifically approaches rookie girl groups that consist of minors. I think a T-ara member even talked about it on some show. I'm sorry but that's seriously disgusting. Even more disgusting is that NO ONE CARES. They are too busy slut-shaming the women.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I don't see how that deserves a "way to go" comment. If a man near his 30s has to resort to fucking an underage child to get his rocks off, it makes me wonder why he's unable to at least fuck a woman who's 20 [in Korean age]. Why fuck a high school kid?

  49. She's not the one SMH. Her company promoted her this way. Before she got popular, she had very mature concepts. But her company realized they could make so much more $$$ if they capitalized on her childish look in order to sell her as a sexualized product to disgusting older men with pedo mentalities!

    ReplyDelete
  50. Right, that's a big IF. These people are really over reacting and assuming a lot

    ReplyDelete
  51. To be frank, Super Junior is already being hated on. The comments translated are the top comments and they're mostly about IU because everyone is seriously taken aback that SHE, of all the idols out there, would be involved in a SEX scandal.

Don't be fooled. They're hating on Eunhyuk too. But the shock of it being IU the "Nation's Little Sister" that he was sticking his 30 year-old penis in is too great at the moment. Wait for SM to start releasing press statements... You'll see.

    ReplyDelete
  52. That is bunch of BS. Ever heard of supply and demand? When IU debuted, she debuted with a mature concept and pretty much flopped. It wasn't selling to the company changed the concept. So, I don't see what they are complaining about. They asked for it and the company supplied. Besides that, IU was always honest and never acted that cutesy during variety shows and her interviews. She even mentioned in her interviews that she did not think she could do the cute concept and did not consider herself that cute.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I don't know if it actually sexism though. I think IU is getting the most heat because she has/had a squeaky clean image and she seems to be way more relevant than Eunhyuk/Suju to Koreans. It's looks like people raen't really give Eunhyuk the easy way out but instead simply don't care about him

I think if you had the same scenario with a male idol using the innocent/pure image (idk, maybe with Lee Sungki or something), you would have about the same result.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Super Junior is a bunch of pedos, honestly almost all the members are jerks, Leeteuk, Shindong, Siwon, Yesung and now Eunhyuk, if he really fucked a minor...I feel bad for the other members that aren't shitty as them.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Eunhyuk isn't getting the bulk of netizen hate because he doesn't have an image of being a squeaky clean virgin like IU does. That is what K-netizens are so shocked about...

Just imagine the roles reversed, say that Eunhyuk being known for his IMAGE of not having his first drink until he was 27 - and then a scandal erupts with Eunhyuk actually being an alcoholic since he was in his TEEN years... then you can be damn sure that netizens will be outraged & WILL hold him accountable.

With so many sex scandals erupting in Korea and females bearing the brunt of it, you can tell that Korean culture prioritizes the notion that the females uphold the whole innocent/virgin image (until they are married) MORE so than males. It's a different culture, everybody, why impose ours on theirs?

    ReplyDelete
  56. So that picture was taken in 2010? When she was 16? Ew Eunhyuk... what a pedophile. :(

  60. OK i agree with you! but he was born in '86. . Makes him 26 yrs old, even in Korean age that's not 30. She's 19 now so 2 yrs ago she was 17. Definitely a minor and that doesn't look good at all. People think this story is just about her dating but the main thing is how it was delivered. It's hard not to assume they just did the nasty. And nations little sister now becomes lil' naughty LOLITA. Even though people thought she was a bit exaggerating her innocence, still, we didn't expect anything this hardcore. Even in the US i can't say the majority of teens are screwing although a lot are. It's just too early for a multitude of reasons

    ReplyDelete
  61. uhm why bring other SUJU members into this

    ReplyDelete
  62. I'm sure that if she left now, they will take that as an admission to guilt. The best thing is if she can pull out an alibi or something

    ReplyDelete
  63. IDC what the reason is that Eunhyuk is not getting hate. My point is that he SHOULD. It sickens me that his career will not be affected in any way by this. And now IU has crazed stupid ELF fan girls making her life miserable bc let's all defend pedOppar!1!!!

Take your "different culture" and shove it up your ass omg. Such apologist bullshit. Guess what? Different cultures can also be WRONG. 25 year old males are on a totally different level of sexual maturity (and overall maturity) then 17 year old females. It's also all too easy for older men to manipulate younger girls into having sex with them which is why there is laws to defend such acts from happening. The fact that Korea is totally disregarding this and choosing to put down someone who could hypothetically be a victim is WRONG. This is the reason why sexual harassment gets so little reporting in Korea. Korea does nothing to protect potential victims and everything to make their lives worse. So yeah you really can SHOVE IT. If I had a dollar for every time ELF dismissed oppars assholic behavior as "different culture" tho.... I'm so done with Super Junior. IDG how their can be so many assholes in just 1 group.

    ReplyDelete
  64. There are definitely a lot of unfair expectations for women. First of all, why is this netizen insinuating that a woman's value lies in whether or not she is a virgin? And second of all, why is IU taking the brunt of the criticism?

Eunhyuk is my favorite member of Super Junior, and I'm still inclined to believe that he's genuinely sweet and kindhearted. But if he had sex with IU when she was a minor, then the brunt of the criticism should be going to HIM, not her, because you know what an adult having sex with a minor is called? Statutory RAPE. If they did have sex when IU was a minor, I don't care if they genuinely loved each other; IU should've controlled her passion to keep Eunhyuk out of jail and Eunhyuk should've controlled his passion because IU was still a friggin teenager!

    ReplyDelete
  65. Eunhyuk already said he didn't believe in mixed marriages so he was already on the shit list tbh. Super Junior is just the group that keeps on giving. Just when you think they cannot get any worse... oh wait, they also have pedo members! At this point this is moving past the "asshole" territory and more in the "you guys are srsly messed up and need help" land.

  68. THIS MESSAGE IS FOR ALL KOREANS. As a mother I really sympathize with IU. All these years people been praising her but just because of a photo the whole Korea is mocking her.Why can't people give her the BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT? I am not a Korean but I really like her as she set an example as a teenage girl who has a drive to work hard despite of poverty. At a young age, she has reached her goals with her unwavering conviction to stand out among seas of girl groups. Why can't we remember the positive impact she has made in our lives. As if the Koreans are NOT SINCERE with their words. She makes a MISTAKE,so she is JUST like any other teenage girl. Everyone makes a mistake as we are HUMAN. Ask yourself this question," Have YOU ever made a mistake before? Are you so PERFECT? If your daughter, sister or niece made the same mistake, will you FORGIVE her?" LET BYGONES BE BYGONES. Be more SYMPATHETIC. She has a long way to go in her life. Don't destroy her life and her loved ones. You bestowed her as the 'Korea's Little Sister', so YOU are RESPONSIBLE to guard and protect her. When she falls to the ground, don't trample and crush her but pick her up and protect her.The International fans might ridicule her but KOREANS should defend her.How much more can a girl take when the whole nation is treating her so badly? If she is Korea's Little Sister so treat her as your sister. Even though IU tried to put a brave smile at yesterday's event (sbs nongshim love sharing concert) but we never know how DEPRESS she might feel inside. I have come to love Korea from their drama which is rich with good values. So I hope KOREANS will help her up again in good FAITH. As a mother, I don't wish anything bad to happen to IU and I pray that she will still have the courage to dream as a young girl." A person starts dying when they stop dreaming".I hope the Korean's media will play a major roles in protecting the Nation Little Sister.PEACE!

Ouch. But this probably explains why Eunhyuk isn't getting much hate (because he just soo irrelevant in the eyes of the Korean public).

    ReplyDelete
  72. Yeah lol, she was never as happy sparkly as her image suggested. She was shoehorned into this good girl thing by her agency because they saw it worked, so the blame should go to them.

    ReplyDelete
  73. "How much money did IU make capitalizing on her little girl image? Now that we know that image was fake, doesn't that mean she sold us a defected product? She deserves to be criticized and hated for deceiving the public to make some money. Think about being sold a water bottle from someone claiming that it's from a pure fountain and then finding out that it was just collected from the Han River. Wouldn't you be pissed and ripped off?"

If you're that dumb to buy water from someone claiming it's from a pure fountain then I have no pity for you. Anyway, IU shouldn't be getting the hate for her image, it's LOEN who saw that the innocent goody good girl image was a good selling point so they forced it on her and Korea ate it all up. Blame them then. She HATED being like that, she's quite an independent girl with opinions of her own. Celebs who make friends with her are surprised with how she really is in real life. I feel so bad for the girls like IU, Suzy, Sohee, Yoona etc the ones who get typcasted into the ~nation's ideal girl/nation's little sister~ etc it's clear their personalities are so far from that but ofc, Korea likes to pigeonhole and give labels, and then when you step out of that image and do one thing wrong (Suzy on variety shows recently, IU right now) then you get the wrath of netizens who you owe nothing to.

It's like lazy parenting syndrome, if you think she's such a bad role model for your child raise your freaking child then, IU is not here to be your child's mother.

  76. i know she's most affected on this but IU is the one digged her own grave.
eunhyuk is not the one released the photo.
Do u think her parents or relative doesn't know she is dating him?
& besides how the picture uploaded w/o noticing it?

I want to share this article:

I don't know if IU & eunhyuk is still dating??
because on her latest statement it seem their not already.

IU reveals that she nearly dated someone recently on ‘Go Show

The singer was a guest on the November 2nd episode of SBS ‘Go Show‘. When she was asked about dating, she confessed, “I’ve never dated anyone after I initially debuted. No one asked me out.”

She continued, “There was no one in the beginning around the time of my debut, but there was someone recently. Usually, when I get asked this question, I just say I never dated anyone since my debut. But recently, I almost did date someone, but it didn’t work out. He sort of tried to test my emotions, so I just told him I was going to stop talking to him. I noticed that he’d read my messages, but he wouldn’t respond until much later, so I realized he was trying to play a little.” After revealing she rejected him, she continued, “He told me that he couldn’t understand, and I replied, ‘We don’t have enough feelings for each other to date right now, but it’s weird to go back to a place when we didn’t know each other, so I’m going to just stop talking to you.’”

She also complained, “If he expressed more and I was sure that he liked me, I could have told him that I liked him too, but he just kept making me confused. We’d be messaging each other, and then he would say nothing while we were talking about something important. We were talking about our feelings for each other, and he just stopped talking. And then he would say he just went to take a shower.”

IU then said, “I go crazy when I can’t contact people. I feel like they’re fooling around with me. If they check the message but don’t respond, I think to myself, ‘I’m the only one that’s obsessed. I have to stop’. Because I’m like that, I don’t want to date anyone until I’m 100% certain. I don’t know why people act like that.”

THEN IN RELATION TO THAT ONE PREVIOUS ARTICLE SEEM MATCHING ON HER STATEMENT..

After IU & Wooyoung’s conversation, Taecyeon asks fans not to send hate comments to Dream High cast

Wooyoung joined in on the conversation by sending IU a mysterious smiley face, to which IU said, “What’s that smile supposed to mean.. keke” and Wooyoung once again replied mysteriously, “Oppa’s heart is at rest now.. ㅠㅠ“. To this, IU replied, “kekekeke Sigh it’s starting again.. I’m gonna go crazy really..” Wooyoung said, “But it was unfair of you to leave early ㅠ“. IU then finally expressed her discomfort and said, “That’s why I left after everyone else got there.. Why are you tweeting me instead of using KakaoTalk.. My mentions are exploding ㅜㅜ“. The conversation ended with Wooyoung acquiescing to her request.

    lmao, netizens

    ReplyDelete
  79. so eunhyuk fuck undreage girls ? what a asshole.

    ReplyDelete
  80. because it's always women fault with koreans, what do you expect from a misogyny society ?

    ReplyDelete
  81. it's not a criminal offense in Korea, they can have sex with 13 yo and more.

    ReplyDelete
  82. why she kept a pic from 2010 in her phone !!

    ReplyDelete
  83. How can anyone tell if Eunhyuk really was topless? I mean maybe he was wearing song wide-low cut shirt or something. But it is obvious that they are in some kind of relationship though.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Really??? The "stupid elfs" are the ones making her life miserable? It's the netizens and her fans who are turning on her, are you not reading the comments or what? ELFs are more concerned with protecting Eunhyuk yes, but they're not the ones posting these comments. And someone already explained that the date was read wrongly, it was from this year.

And puhleez, ask yourself who took the pic? Don't pedos like to take pics of their "victims" so they can have trophies or collections to show off? What do you call your supposedly, manipulated young girls who take the pics themselves and actually keep it? Then accidentally post it themselves?

    ReplyDelete
  85. And people are saying that the elfs are the ones hating on her so a comment like this is from them? How does this work? O:-)

    ReplyDelete
  86. Korea is still a conservative country. Girls date guys that are financially stable, and a teenager is not financially stable, It might be weird to us, but a 7-10 year difference is normal. Plus we don't know whether they had sex or not. Pedophile is not a word that should be thrown around so easily,

    ReplyDelete
  87. 'IU's first public appearance since scandal, hardened face... emotionless hosting'

LOL, poor IU, still she deserve it anyway. personally idc if she had sex and dating and shit. still it will be appropriate if she officially confess that she dating someone beforehand, so that the fans will be more 'prepared'. i mean, just out of nowhere, publish the controversial selca and delete it minutes after that? and what u expect netizen reaction really? and this come from their beloved 'National Little Sister'.. idols should learned this from T-ara already, but why didnt she? well, she made mistake, huge one at that.. and for that she deserve the consequences. and as for pedo shit? she's old enough to watch porn and has sex, so this is aint korean ver of miki muyi pedo love story (eew). hope IU recover from this..soon.

    ReplyDelete
  88. it was her first time with her first love

    ReplyDelete
  89. Omg, they're bringing out Jiyeon again! Most of these Koreans speak as if they've never picked up a Maxim magazine before!

  90. You must be new here.

    ReplyDelete
  91. i m afraid , Junsu, becareful...

    ReplyDelete
  92. heh. that's laughable. gave her their full trust? then why are they all jumping to the worst case scenario over a photo that is very subjective and can be interpreted in a more innocuous way?

    ReplyDelete
  93. She has no shame, well maybe her company is trying to make the most money as possible till no one call her again to appear on TV and stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  94. sigh. it's actually 15 yr old (kr age) and 14 yr old (international).

    ReplyDelete
  95. The age of consent is 13 in SK. Flirting with someone under 20 may be frowned upon, but having sex with them if they are over 13 is not a criminal offense.

As for the rumours of Leeteuk, i only ever heard of him dating and approaching Older woman. I though he was a cougar lover not a minor lover.

As for slut-shaming, IU has a pure innocent image, and now that's destroyed. Eunhyuk didn't have such an image, never sold himself as a pure person, so it's not as bad for him. When IU promoted herself as such, she made a promise to her fans that she would stay pure and innocent, and now thats gone. Don't those betrayed have a right to be angry? What kind of promise to Eunhyuk give? He's admitted to dating. to watching porn, etc. I'm not saying slut-shaming is appropriate, but before you get all righteously furious on behalf of IU, think about all the people who she let down by accidently posting such a picture. There's two sides, so try looking at the both instead of waving a flag for something you probably don't fully understand.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Reading this makes me remember what "netizens" did to Tablo and his family:
    http://www.wired.com/underwire/2012/04/ff_koreanrapper/all/

I hope IU's case won't get worse. Ruining someone's life is K-netizen's habit I guess.

PS: I'm not a fan of IU or SJ.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Look bud, did you not read what someone else wrote? The netizens were mistaken. The format for the display was displaying the day, month and time and they mistook day as year. This was taken this year. Also, no one besides God and these 2 people really know what really happened. No matter what the netizens speculate, they are not one of the parties that was present in that house when iu & eunhyuk were there. It is ridiculous that you can go from that one photo and start building up this crazy story around it. Dating 2 + yrs? Please, there are enough rumors that contradict that. I swear these kiddies go to rumors sections and take that as the gospel or something.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Rape! Statutory rape!

    ReplyDelete
  99. Korea never liked SJ so this is nothing new

    ReplyDelete
  100. i don't understand why your comment got a lot of negative votes.. I don't think you are stating anything false. That just proves there are a bunch of haters on this forum.

    ReplyDelete
  101. <3 exactly how I feel.
Knowing how honest she is and how dorky her personality is, people who have followed IU for a while are the ones not jumping on the sex speculation quickly. You would think someone who had always been really nice to everyone would be getting the benefit of the doubt in this situation, but is not...

    ReplyDelete
  102. So that means you're totally defending Eunhyuk and saying that IU was the only one at fault?

    ReplyDelete
  103. Well they were supposed to be dating since 2010, and she was underage them. There's a possibility they had sex at that time, so yes pedo much.
It's funny tough how nobody says anything about the guy, cause the blame is always on the girls. Poor IU...

    ReplyDelete
  104. Even tough he's irrelevant, he's not being hated because of that, is just because he's a man. Misogynist people tsk.

    ReplyDelete
  105. well, read again. I said not all of them.

    ReplyDelete
  106. i thought (most) korean girls don't have sex before marriage...hmm guess they became more westernized.........

    ReplyDelete
  107. What do you mean by westernized? People all over the world been having sex before marriage since the beginning.Stop living in that fantasy world, come back to reality. Are you gonna blame the west also for korea's trafficking of women prostitutes?

    ReplyDelete
  108. i agree but it's better than 13. slightly. and i wanted to put the correct information forth

    ReplyDelete
  109. really, i hate using profanity but f'off if you are going to take on the attitude that she did something shameful. she did nothing that she should be ashamed of. if anything, it's people like you who are trying to shame her based on something so flimsy that should be ashamed for being so judgmental.

    ReplyDelete
  110. "Different cultures can also be WRONG." YESSS omg by analyzing another culture or society we can see why they think this or that but it doesnt mean its right... damn <.<

    ReplyDelete
  111. What's ironic about all this is that I was never and had never been an ELF. I don't know what you're talking about but you obviously had your prejudices already. I was speaking from someone who does come from a conservative culture and has to deal with the conflicting beliefs between mine and the uber-sexual one of America. Please, just stop yourself.

    ReplyDelete
  112. your reply's the lame one, my dear anon

    ReplyDelete
  113. Only islamic countries did that..i guess. maybe even Vatican or some part of Africa..anywhere else? doubtful

    ReplyDelete
  114. Duh, people love her because she's innocent

innocent unlike the other girls who show their sexes on TV

They are disappointed that she deleted the photo

then her company covered it with lies

and when I said they gave their full trust

    I'm not generalizing

"They have the rights to complain"

    meaning for those who complain

    ReplyDelete
  115. well, they just dont want to deal with fact... then again, i just hope what i told can enlighten other people that read the comment in this site. that's all... people can take whatever they want... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  116. it's funny how people here assume eunhyuk was topless. you just have to google him to see that sometimes he has shirts that are ... hmmmh... you know what i mean.

and why can't he visit her topless ? if they're friends ... uh why do people care so much about it ? it's summer... he's topless on stage before 10000 fans , he's topless at the beach... isn't it funnier this way?

  119. pfftt... i don't think so. asian culture, in general, is still more sexist whether the country is industrialized or not.
as to her getting most heat because of her squeaky clean image - while that may be a factor, i think antis are jumping on this to do as much damage as they can since this is truly the first big misstep that she took

    ReplyDelete
  120. IU still can sell her so called innocent image. Think of the extra fans she will get after this so called accident. Those with certain preferences in their carnal fulfillment will certainly use IU's goody-two-shoes image to the max.

    ReplyDelete
  121. lol no,it's not a fantasy world.

"People all over the world been having sex before marriage since the beginning." what?? haha. i have friends from asian countries, islam countries, india, some from other european countries who say that sex before marriage is definitely not common in their countries. i bet you never lived in a different country and think everything in your country is the same in other countries.
